Sit comfortably, or lie down and tune into your breathing for a few moments
Become aware of the area around your heart, explore the feeling around it, the muscles, the bones
Feel as if your breath is filling your heart on the inbreath and emptying on the outbreath
The next steps are optional, you may want to work up to 4. Only after you are comfortable, move to step 5.
4. Continuing the breathing into the heart and recall a situation when you felt completely content and just stay with that while breathing in and out of the heart
5. Allow a feeling of gratefulness to come in while you remember this situation and breathe into your heart, notice the felt sensation of this in your body
